Start with Good Stuff

Cutting the moulds out of chemical wood, this really helps keep definition
Ready to cast straight out of the machine
Prep your area things are about to get messy – scales, silicone and vac pump to remove bubbles
Paint the bottom
To prevent bubbles in the stamps I painted the bottom of the tool with silicone – trial and error to find this out!
Pour the remaining silicone
Silicone takes 24 hours to set, or 15 minutes in an oven at 140 degrees celcius
Out the oven ready to stamp
I’m naturally impatient, luckily using clear you can see how they’ve come out.
Without a handle or press plate they’re a little hard to press but it looks promising
Turning the Knobs
Step turning on a metal working lathe
Rub them knobs out
Ready to apply
Plywood discs cut and fixed to the knob
Sticking the Pads on
